Vista Beta2 Public - No expiry before Final is released?
When Vista Beta2 is available for the public, will it be possible to continue to keep using it until, I can buy the retail version in the shops, that would be good?
Basically once I go to Vista Beta I don't want to have to go back to XP.

Vista Beta2 Public - No Expiry ?
Well, beta 2 does expire, after 1 year, or close to it, so you have a enormous grace period, but there will be a trial of the final software, so I would suggest moving to that instead of sticking it out with the beta release. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

If your using Vista Beta 2, and have it installed, you can try pressing your Windows key and hitting the letter R. That should bring up a run box. Type on WINVER and run that program. It will tell you when your specific version will expire.

Thanks guys
Sounds like best to follow the releases, beta2, then beta3 if there is one, and so on untill final trial, then buy the final when it hits the shops.
cheers

There won't be a BETA 3 release of Vista, next milestone release is RC1, no word on a RC2. Windows "codenamed" Longhorn "Server" will include a BETA 3 release though sometime in the first half of 2007. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
